Description

Ahsoka vs. Barris.
Okay, Barris had her reasons, but why did she attacked Ahsoka? We knew she wanted to show Ahsoka how the council and the order really is, but... -I couldn't attack my friend in such a situation.

Well, just try to look at the bright side. Depending on how you interpret it Barriss can be a very tragical figure. I think she was actually right about a lot of things, it was just that the execution was done... poorly, to say the least. We learn a little bit about what Barriss might have thought, but we didn't learn anything about why. It makes rather little sense. In my opinion Barriss was actually trying to help Ahsoka in her own way by getting her caught and seeing the Jedi Council for what it is. Somehow I always have to think 'The Farce awakens' and 'The Farce unleashed' when I think of the Jedi Council. Maybe Barriss actually had a vague vision about what would happen (Order 66 etc.) and took it upon herself to save Ahsoka. At least I think that's what she was trying to do. In my interpretation Barriss would have turned herself in later on, if Anakin hadn't confronted her. She didn't really seem to have fallen to the dark side. At least that's the only logical explenation I could think of, why else would she keep the ONLY real evidence pointing towards her in the Jedi temple? Had she discarded the lightsabers of Ventress or hidden them anywhere else there'd be no evidence against her. She could've also just escaped, had she wanted to. Barriss isn't stupid, so that's the only explanation I could come up with. She was probably sure that things would go this way and therefore she defeated Ahsoka in a way that would get her caught. Now Ahsoka's disillusioned with the order, so Barriss probably won, if that was her goal. If you think of it that way Barriss wasn't someone who was driven mad by the dark side, she was a caring character who sacrificed herself and others for Ahsoka's sake. Probably not what the producers had in mind, but I like it that way a lot better than what we get in the show. Whoops, sorry for the rant...
